The day Margot missed out

Margot was someone who came from earth and had seen the sun everyday. When she went to Venus,however, things changed. She would only see the sun every 7 years while on Venus. On the day she knew the sun would come out, she was locked into an underground closet with no windows by all the other children. Margot cried herself to sleep and when she woke up, the door to the closet was opened. She could still hear the pounding of the rain. When she looked at the childrens' expressions she knew that she was right about the rain stopping. Margot was happy, sad and angry all at the same time. However Margot forgave the children for locking her in the closet, and she wondered how they felt about locking her up and seeing the sun. -Godwin Piattoni
