A Sad Sunny Day

The Sad Sunny Day

A poem By: Shining Star
It was bleak and gray; it was like that every day.

The drops went boom boom boom

The rockets went zoom zoom zoom

The only thing bright was a moon

But then the children gathered,

Learning about a change,

The sun would come out

And no one would have to pout

But one little guy roared galore

And shoved a girl into a door

They locked it

She cried

And water filled her eyes.

Then they went out

What a sight

There was a big ball of bright light!

They ran and played all day

But then alas

Things when bad

The drops started plopping

And dropping

Thunder screamed

Very mean

They ran inside and decided to hide

But they remembered the girl

The wind was whirling and twirling

They ran down the tube

And to the cube of a closet.

They unlocked the door

And what they saw shall never be reviled

Evermore!
