A Sad Sunny Day.

                          A Sad Sunny Day.
      A poem by: Shining Star

It was bleak and gray. It was like that ever day.

The drops went boom boom boom.

The rockets went zoom zoom zoom

The only thing bright was a moon
But then the children gathered,
Learning about a change,
The sun would come out
And no one would have to pout
But one little guy roared galore
And shoved a girl into a door
They locked it
She cried
And water filled her eyes.
Then they went out
What a sight
There was a big ball of bright light!
They ran and played all day
But then alas
Things when bad
The drops started plopping
And dropping
Thunder screamed
Very mean
They ran inside and decided to hide
But they remembered the girl
The wind was whirling and twirling
They ran down the tube
And to the cube of a closet.
They unlocked the door
And what they saw shall never be reviled
Evermore!

The Sun is Gone

Dear Diary,
Today was the day the sun came out, but I missed it because they were bullying me and shoved me in a closet. I screamed for a minute then I just sat down. I wish I'm back on earth again to play around with my friends. I missed the sun and I won't see it again for seven years. I guess I'll have to wait.

Being Margot by Nicole Hillary

Stuck in the closet all the day,
Wait for the rain to fade away,
On a planet where there is no sun,
So no one gets any fun,
From the Earth I came to stay,
On this planet that rains I say.

the sun of venus

seven long year's straight
of rain and rain all day
and then it come's an hour that day
when the sun is finally shown
but no i never saw
the brightest light of all
for i was in the dark
in a cavern of hurt and lost
your friend,
zola :)

The One Sunny Day

I was different from the others,
They locked me in the closet,
Today was the day when the sun came out,
I tried to hide my tears,
But then it was to late,

I miss sun,
It only comes out,
Every seven years,
When they let me out,
It was to late,

When they told me they were sorry,
I told them I forgave them,
But don't do again my friends.

Margot's Point Of View by Christine Avocado

I didn't get to see, and won't get to see, the sun for another seven years. My class got to spend time in the sun, meanwhile, I was stuck in the closet, with books surrounding me. When they let me out of the closet I could tell that they had seen the sun. They started chatting about how beautiful it was, like a shiny penny in the sky. Now I watch the rain, through the window, watching the sky for a sign of the sun again.

After the Sun...

It's been a week since the day the rain left. They locked me in the closet because they were afraid of me. That's what I try to tell myself late at night when I can't sleep because I keep hearing their jeers and jabs. I keep thinking I'm still stuck in that little closet. I keep fearing that they'll never let me out. But mostly, I keep imagining what it was like to have felt the warm sun upon my face. It'll be many years before I see it again...will they lock me in another closet, or worse? It's been a week since the day the rain came back...and it just keeps raining...and I can't quit crying.
